Good News! There will be another family picnic/reunion this year thanks to the efforts of Pam Heath. She had the foresight to reserve the same shelter as last year.
Here is the text of the E-Mail I received from Pam:
“I have had a few inquires about this years reunion. I am glad that people are asking. The shelter has been reserved, the same place as last year, I was in there on january 6th to make sure I could get it. Just didn't think everyone would be thinking about it already. I have had a few suggestions of changes, and things to add to keep it more fun for everyone, so if you have ideas , or would like to get a committee formed to do further planning , let me know and I will try to set something up. I have a busy summer coming up, so I can use all the help I can get. Lets try to make this one bigger and better than last year. please pass this email on to anyone else who's emails I don't have included. thanks Pam Heath, peggy pendletons daughter, Ed Pendletons grand-daughter”
The date will be Sunday, August 8th from 10:00 AM to around 4:00 PM at the Holland Town Hall on McHugh Road about a mile west of Highway 53.
If you have any questions, contact Pam Heath or feel free to drop me an E-Mail: PaulPendleton@Comcast.net.

July 2010 Quiz
For this month’s quiz, let’s think of all of Roy and Sophie’s grandchildren and their descendants. What are the most common boy’s and girl’s first names? (I’m just counting relatives, not spouses.)
Check back next month for the answer!
-- ANSWER
I have record of just under 300 of their descendants and I was a little surprised at the results.
There is a 3 way tie for male names (6 people each): Andrew, David and Michael. The most common female name is Julie (4 people).
The next most common names are Daniel and Robert (4 people each) for male names and Angela, Kimberly, Patricia and Tamara (3 each) for female names.
