A. She was the first Pendleton to hold a patent.
B. She was the first Pendleton woman to circumnavigate the world.
C. All of her immediate family (husband and children) died in different countries,
-- ANSWER
Ann Williams [Pendleton] Rogers was another in the long list of Pendletons who were involved in the maritime industries and traveled extensively. She and her husband, Richard J Rogers had 2 children, Allen and Ernest. Allen died in 1858 at age 12 in Havana, Cuba. Ernest died in 1857 at age 3 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Ann died in 1861 at age 41 in Marseilles, France. I’m not sure exactly where Richard died, but everything indicates he died in the US. So… the correct answer is C. All of her immediate family died in different countries.

New Feature
I have a couple housekeeping matters… First, I’m dropping Anniversaries as a regular monthly feature. I’d be more than happy to post an announcement if anyone is having an anniversary, though. Just send me an E-Mail.
Second, I have had a number of requests to start a posting of relatives who are on active duty in the armed forces. If you know of any relatives who are currently in the service, let me know and I will list them. You may want to include their mailing address or E-Mail address so people can contact them.
