Sick Call - Kathy [Ryan] Meyer

Kathy [Ryan] Meyer (2) had her knee replaced on April 6th. Her daughter, Melissa, sent me this update:

"Mom had her right knee replaced and there were no complications during the surgery. This is the same leg that Mom broke her ankle a few years ago. Following the surgery Mom's lymphedema began to act up and her right leg is extremely swollen. Partly because of this complication, Mom was unable to come straight home from the hospital. She has been in a nursing home in Greendale since her release from the hospital. She is doing well with rehab. Once she is up she is able to walk, but at this point she is not able to get her right leg in and out of the bed without assistance. Her therapy is coming along though, and as you all know my mom is one tough cookie and doesn't stop once she has her mind set on something!

She just changed rooms, so for those of you who had her direct line that number has now changed. Here is the contact information for her. I'm sure she'd love to hear from anyone who wants to chat!

I spoke with Kathy last night and it looks like she might be at the rehab facility until May 6th. If you have a chance, give her a call or drop her a card. She will not have access to her E-Mail until she gets home.

Nancy [Niles] Proctor (2) was elected Village President in Holmen, WI on Tuesday, April 7, 2009. Nancy is the daughter of Margaret [Pendleton] Niles (1).

Welcome Alex Michael Felch!

Join me in welcoming the latest addition to Generation 5, Alex Michael Felch. Alex was born March 28, 2009, to Angela Klossing (4) and Aaron Felch. Alex is being held by proud big sister, Alycia Felch who is 2 1/2.

Angela is the daughter of Penny [Roberts] Klossing (3) and Alan Klossing. Penny is the daughter of Peggy [Pendleton] Roberts (2) and Robert Roberts. Peggy is the daughter of Edward Pendleton (1).
